The Native Spirit Lodge

Kachina Dolls are hand carved figures by the members of the Hopi and Navajo tribes. Hopi dolls are carved from a single cottonwood root, while Navajo dolls are created from multiple pieces and/or other woods.

Certain colors of the kachina figures also have significant directional meanings:

Yellow = North/northwest; Blue-Green = West/southwest; Red= South/southeast
